According to a source close to Kara, she was allegedly shocked to learn that she's been fired from the hit show, reported the ShowBizSpy.com site.
“She understands the show is in need of a revamp, but Kara really thought she had a job for as long as she wanted it. She’s beside herself,” said the source. “Kara loved judging Idol...She’s horrified that she’s just being tossed aside like this."
According to entertainment website, TMZ, the singing competition is returning to a three-judge format, consisting of Randy Jackson (the only original judge left), likely new judge Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, who's buzzed to be Simon Cowell's replacement.
DiGuardi's replacement, actress/singer J-Lo (left), might stir some initial excitement. According to Billboard's Monica Herrera, she said Lopez and Aerosmith frontman Tyler "could give the show a jolt if their addition actually pans out."
on the other hand, DeGeneres tweeted, "Dim the lights,. . .I've voted myself off American Idol." - MM
