HILARY Swank sees her divorce as “a success”. -i guess she is moved on.
The Million Dollar Baby star — who divorced actor Chad Lowe in 2006 after nine years of marriage — admitted despite the breakdown of her first union, she still believes in monogamous relationships.
“A lot of people look at divorce as a failure. I really look at my relationship with Chad as 14 years of success,” she said.
“I will carry him in my heart forever. He’s a part of me. Friends of mine and I talk about this. Does someone come into your life for a certain time, and then you are supposed to go your separate ways? There’s a part of me that thinks that’s true.
“There are friendships that we grow out of. But I believe in the long haul. I believe in having a monogamous relationship.”
The Oscar-winning actress — who started dating her agent John Campisi following her 2006 divorce — also admitted she is in no hurry to tie the knot again.
“I believe in the sanctity of marriage,” she said. “John and I, you know, we were both in long marriages and it’s not something that we need to rush back into.”
The 36-year-old beauty also admitted that despite having wanted children from “a really young age”, the couple are not planning on settling down and having children until “the time is right”. -Showbiz Spy
