Terms and Conditions
GENERAL CONTEST GUIDELINES

1. Contest is opened to all young designers in Malaysia aged 18 to 35 years old
2. Closing date is 6th October 2010.
3. Each participant will only be allowed to submit ONE artwork


DESIGN AND MATERIALS CRITERIA

1. Any categories of design are welcomed provided the design reflects the interpretation of Unlimited Spirit
2. The design should contain the following features:
* New and innovative design
* Futuristic and visionary
* Minimalistic
3. There are no strict restrictions on the usage of materials


SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Contestants must register themselves with proper verification information on the RADO YOUNG DESIGN PRIZE, MALAYSIA contest website www.radoyoungdesignprize.com.my
2. Contestants can choose ONE of the below formats to be uploaded onto the microsite
* At least four (4) coloured photographs
* video/animation
* Fully illustrated perspective drawing
3. ALL artwork submitted have to be accompanied with relevant description on the idea development and materials used
4. The allocated timeline to upload the artwork is from 19th August 2010 to 6th October 2010


JUDGING CRITERIA

Judging Process

1. Three local designers and one Rado Brand Manager will make the final decision on the Top 5 Finalists
2. Top 5 finalists are to prepare their final artwork to be exhibited at KLCC Concourse from 27th October 2010 to 2nd November 2010
3. The judges decision will be final and no correspondence may be entertained
4. The judges reserve the right not to make an award should they decide it would be inappropriate to do so


Judging Criteria

1. The panel of judges will take into account the following factors in the selection on winners:
* The artwork must be the participant's own original work and of real innovations
* The artwork should reflect futuristic characteristics and design
* Participants are encouraged to use new materials
* Participants are encouraged to use new techniques / treatments
